The color is “venetian gold” from the Dessy Group. I was very satisfied with their service and selection. I chose the color and let my bridesmaids (all 10 of them) choose from the different styles available–as long as the dress was floor length. What do you think?

/ August 1, 2010I love the champagne-gold color! I decided a long time ago that if I were to have a White wedding that I’d go with this color or a light pink color for my bridesmaids. Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeves for your wedding!

/ August 4, 2010I love the dresses! My friend wanted us to get our dresses from Dessy as well, but in the end, we decided to go with David’s Bridal because it is so much easier on everyone. :-/ sucks to live in a little town! haha

/ August 24, 2010I ordered a venetian gold 1/2 a yard swatch from Dessy Group and the gold is VERY gold. I am going more for the champaign-gold look like you have in your pictures but the swatch I received looks like a whole different color (more like a marigold) What dress styles are the two you have pictured? I am wondering if it’s a different fabric. PLEASE HELP! I desperately want to use gold for my bridesmaids dresses but not the oscars type of gold and I can’t find it anywhere.

/ August 25, 2010Hi Jenny! I agree the Venetian gold is VERY gold but as it’s a fall wedding I think the color will be alright. The color all my girls ordered is the venetian gold and those are the ordered dresses pictured in this post. The style on the left is After Six #6249 and the style on the right is Dessy #2733. If you want another gold color through Dessy that is lighter and almost a champagne try the color “palomino.” It is very light and pretty. Links to the dresses below. / August 26, 2010Thank you for your help! I love the gold colors you have but it looks so much lighter than the venitial gold that Dessy Group sent me. What fabric are the bridesmaids dresses pictured? The fabric that was sent to me is Matte Satin. I’m wondering if there is a little bit of a difference in the gold depending on fabric.
